The Greyhound has stood in the heart of the village of Botesdale since the 1400s when it was used as a coaching Inn and through the years has been a focus of community life.

Since 2004 the pub has been owned by Chris and Mori-Fi Burnard who have continued to evolve it to make the Greyhound an interesting and welcoming pub serving a range of local ales, over 20 premium gins, craft lager and authentic homemade pizza from the wood fired pizza oven.

Wood Fired Pizza

The focus of our food is our sensational house pizzas with a build your own option from a wide range of meats, fish and vegetable toppings to create your own unique pizza.

The pizza oven has been built by Chris who makes fresh dough daily to Mori-Fi’s recipe which when fired with wood gives a thin crispy base as tasty as the Italian original.

When do you serve takeaway at The Greyhound Botesdale?

We are serving takeaway pizzas from Tuesdays – Saturdays each week.

Our orders open online at 4pm on each serving day

Our takeaway menu is more or less the same as our eat-in menu but with a few exceptions. You can enjoy all our House Pizzas, like our Meaty Italiano and our Quattro, or you can build-your-own pizza using our extensive list of toppings. Of course, we welcome Vegan and Gluten-Free customers.

We pride ourselves on supplying a wide range of interesting ales from all over the UK with an emphasis on championing the small brewer.

Monday through to Friday 5-6.30pm is Happy Hour with all beers (excluding craft lager) and medium size wine only £3.00

Music & Drink Festivals

Live music is a focus at The Hound with bands every Friday evening playing a variety of music from hill billy blues to discofunk.

Annual events include The Beer Festival in May which features over 20 real ales and live music all weekend as well as the August Gin Festival with over 50 gins and live music all day.
