Welcome to The Greyhound
Manager Jon Pasque and chef proprietor Chris Burnard welcomes you to meet the team at one of the regions most popular traditional pubs. The Greyhound at Botesdale dates back to the 1400’s when it was a coaching in on the main route to London. The pub today is bursting with character with a roaring log fire, walls filled with taxidermy and bear oak floor boards which give it the feel of stepping back 100 years. Since re-opening in 2004 The Greyhound has carved a niche by championing the small local brewer. With an interesting range of ales served direct from the cask as well as hand pump there is always something new to try.
In 2012 a major refurbishment program was completed at The Greyhound with an outstanding extension added, providing a pool room with vaulted ceiling and French doors opening onto the patio. Along with a new kitchen and refurbishment of the lounge bar The Greyhound has become the first choice for people wanting quality traditional food, in a smart pub with a welcoming atmosphere.
Monday-Saturday: open 5pm – 11pm (Food service 5.30-9pm Tue to Sat)
Sunday: 12pm – 10:30pm. Food service 12am onwards, hog roll and wedges only.
